So immersive is the experience it may take you a while to find your way out, should you even wish too. A soundtrack for the connections I yearn, the wisdoms I crave. In other words, bloody great. Steven C. Davis It's hauntingly, breath-takingly, beautiful; gives me the chills. I've heard 'A Whisper in the Woods' before, and that's pure beauty in 400 seconds. Their version of The Unquiet Grave is delightful. Overall, the album has an eerie, shimmering tranquillity that hints at so much more, just at the edge of sight, the edge of the forest, the edge of consciousness. This is the ice-laced mist before the night falls, before the cold penetrates, before the branches crack behind you ... Favorite track: A Fracture In The Forest.

They lived in the forest and their main occupations were knitting, necromancy, dollmaking and devilry however sometimes they made music too. When they did they liked to throw their love of MR James, Arthur Machen, ghost stories, Black Sabbath, Pentangle and The Wicker Man into their cauldron and give it a good stir. ... more
